Lockdown : Dr. Niederkorn's Thoughts For The Week

Lockdown

by Michael Niederkorn on 03/30/20

I hope all of you are safe and well.  Life as we know it has changed, and will most likely have long-lasting changes down the road that we cannot even imagine at this time.  Everyone should be doing there best to be good citizens, helping those we can, and staying home when possible.

We are doing our best to take care of our patient's needs. Our office is planning on re-opening Monday April 6th, but things will be different. All of us will be in protective equipment to limit our exposure risks. We are limiting appointments, and requiring our patients to follow new protective rules.

Eye care is an essential part of our patient's lives. I have concerns for my staff, our families, and our patients and their families. If we all work together to be as responsible as possible, we can all get through this crazy time.

Our office will be contacting our patients this week to give instructions on how we plan on continuing eye care. Use common sense and hygiene practices.  If you feel unwell....stay home and isolate yourself from others.

May God bless you and those you love.  Take time to reach out to people you have not talked to in a while.  I have really enjoyed checking in on people, making sure they are doing well, and trying to keep a cheerful attitude.  Spread the love!

Dr. N
